Sewing in the conservatory all day today. Absolutely freezing. Have re-arranged furniture so I can work by the fire tonight. New piece - working on the background at the minute but will be a seaside piece.  Apologies for the poor photo - getting to grips with new technology!

I've spent the winter painting and so thought I would share a portrait of my favourite man with you. Here is Bob! We are about to visit David Hockney's exhibition tomorrow.  Really looking forward to it.

And a work in progress - Gran. I lost her when I was 18 and it is through her that I began my artistic life. She gave me the impetus to draw and to stitch so she is never far from my thoughts.  I'll post again when she is finished.

Long time since my last post - but have completed Royal School of Needlework Certificate since then - and now starting on the Diploma so no blogging but lots of stitching

I can't believe its august already

Life has been a bit hectic (to say the least) which is why its been so long since I posted - plus I changed my computer to a mac and its taken a wee while to get used to the new set up. I also turned 5o 2 days ago.....as to stitching I've been a bit lax although I have started a certificate course in hand embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework so I've got to get going......

Just a couple of pics - it being summer (although you would never believe it looking out the window right now, raining cats and dogs it is...) my garden is the main inspiration, so here are some felting flowers.....

and a felt 'cave painting' I did specially for the lovely bob....

will have to make it not so long next time...
